Mahindra has launched its Charge_IN network, marking a major step in India’s fast-growing EV infrastructure.
The rollout begins with 180 kW ultra-fast chargers, forming the first phase of a plan to build 250 stations with over 1,000 charging points by 2027.
The company’s first two Charge_IN stations are now live. One sits in Hoskote on NH 75, a key stretch linking Bengaluru and Chennai. The other is in Murthal on NH 44, about 50 km from Delhi.
Each site carries two ultra-fast chargers, allowing four EVs to charge at once, setting the foundation for a reliable high-speed charging backbone across major highways.

Nalinikanth Gollagunta, Chief Executive Officer – Automotive Division at Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd and Executive Director at Mahindra Electric Automobile Ltd, said electric mobility signals a shift toward cleaner and more sustainable transportation.
He noted that models such as the XEV 9e and BE 6, with real-world ranges near 500 km, build trust for long journeys. He added that the Charge_IN network aims to provide an open, accessible fast-charging ecosystem for all EV users, making long trips as seamless as conventional travel.
Every Charge_IN hub will feature 180 kW dual-gun chargers able to power models like the XEV 9e, BE 6, and upcoming XEV 9S from 20% to 80% in about 20 minutes. Positioned along busy corridors and paired with cafés and restaurants, the stations give travellers a convenient break while their vehicles recharge.
Mahindra eSUV owners can locate, activate and pay for charging through the Me4U app, while all other EV owners can access the stations via the “Charge_IN by Mahindra” app and key aggregator platforms. Through Me4U, users already have visibility of nearly 34,000 public charging points nationwide.
