On World EV Day, Tata Power and Tata Passenger Electric Mobility launched India's biggest TATA.ev MegaCharger hub in Mumbai.
Located near Terminal 2 of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport at The Leela Mumbai Hotel, this world-class hub will enhance the EV ecosystem for Mumbai city and help propel the countrys transition to clean mobility. This TATA.ev MegaCharger hub has eight fast DC chargers (each rated up to 120 kW) and 16 charging bays; so it can charge 16 EVs at once.
This world-class hub will support private cars, taxis, ride-hailing fleets and logistics operations, and will ensure quick charge times with a seamless user experience with no waiting times, even during peak periods. Praveer Sinha, CEO and MD, Tata Power and Shailesh Chandra, MD, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles and Tata Passenger Electric Mobility, jointly inaugurated the hub today.

India's pledge of 30 percent EV penetration by 2030 is, according to industry leaders, critical to enhancing fossil fuel reductions and decreasing emissions. In the spirit of World EV Day, the industry spoke positively. Divya Chandra, MD of Atul Greentech, said India's EV leadership has risen sharply, referring to the 1.42 million EVs sold in the first eight months of 2025. Rajat Verma of LOHUM talked about EVs meeting sustainability and energy security needs. Ayush Lohia of Zuperia Auto stated the need for awareness and infrastructure to sustain that shift.
