LG Electronics India Limited (LGEIL) is stepping up its renewable energy push by partnering with Hinduja Renewables Energy Private Limited (HREPL) and Sunsure Energy.
The move strengthens LG Electronics India renewable energy adoption across its major manufacturing facilities, marking a strong shift toward cleaner operations.
Under the agreement, HREPL will supply around 1.61 crore units of green electricity every year from a 27.7 MWp solar plant in Nanded, Maharashtra. This will meet nearly 40 percent of the Pune plant’s power needs and is expected to cut over 0.31 million metric tonnes of carbon emissions over the project’s lifetime.
At the same time, Sunsure Energy will deliver close to 1.6 crore units of clean power annually from its 82.5 MWp solar facility in Erach, Uttar Pradesh. This will help the Greater Noida plant source about 30 percent of its energy from renewables, taking its total clean energy share to nearly 50 percent. The initiative is projected to offset around 0.30 million metric tonnes of carbon emissions over time.
