Ceigall India has received an official Letter of Award (LOA) of Rewa Ultra Mega Solar (RUMSL) to develop Unit 1 (220 MW) at the Morena Solar Park in the state of Madhya Pradesh.
This project is one of the priorities of the renewable energy plan in the state and was given out to bid under a tariff-based bid procedure.
It will be a 220MW solar energy facility with a Battery Energy storage system (BESS). The negotiated tariff rate will be 2.70/kWh and the overall cost of the project will be Rs 1700 crores with GST.
It will require 24 months to build the plant and will run under the projected 25-year life. The project will enhance grid stability by introducing BESS to the Morena Solar Park, better peak power management, and increase dispatch reliability.

This will add to the balancing of the energy requirements and supply, and the addition will dramatically increase the renewable energy capacity of Madhya Pradesh in relation to the national clean-energy targets of India.
It represents a significant step in the history of Ceigall India as a company that will help bring India a clean energy change of direction and the renewable-energy arena.
