KPI Green Energy has started feeding electricity into the grid from its 200 MW solar project in Gujarat, marking a big step in the company’s clean energy journey. The solar plant, built under a competitive bid and connected to the state grid, has officially begun generating and supplying power to meet local demand.
The solar plant which was constructed under a competitive project and grid linked to the state grid is officially operational and generates and supplies the power to the local demand. This project will boost the Gujarat renewable energy production and introduce a large volume of clean energy into the power portfolio in Gujarat.
It is a 200 MW AC (approximately 240 MW DC) project in the Khavda Solar Park and is connected to a long-term power purchase contract with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd (GUVNL). The power generation began following grid synchronization and the supply of electricity to the state grid is underway. This action will help to secure the stable energy supply and reduce the reliance on traditional power.
