To build a hot-stamped automotive systems factory for Indian OEMs, JBM Group and Sodecia Automotive International SA have partnered. With a Rs 150 crore investment, the plant's foundation was established at Chakan, Pune, and it is anticipated to begin operations by Q2 FY27.
This partnership focuses on creating lightweight, high-strength parts for both internal combustion engine (ICE) and electric vehicles by fusing Sodecia's hot stamping technology with JBM Group's automotive manufacturing expertise. Sodecia wants to increase its market share in the expanding Indian market, while JBM Group wants to boost its position as a worldwide OEM partner and improve safer mobility.
