ACME Solar Holdings has secured the 450 MW – 1800 MWh FDRE-IV project from SJVN, marking a key development in India’s renewable energy sector.
Awarded on November 10, 2025, the project was finalized at a tariff of ₹6.75 per unit under a 25-year agreement. It followed a Tariff-Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) process, with an e-reverse auction on October 9, 2025, and the Letter of Award (LoA) issued a month later.
The project requires ACME Solar to supply 4 MWh per MW of capacity during any four-hour peak demand window each day, maintaining 90% monthly availability.

It combines 300 MW of solar capacity with a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) of around 1800 MWh to ensure steady power delivery during high-demand hours.
This initiative is among the few in India focused on assured peak power supply, supporting grid stability during critical demand periods. The project will use night-time transmission connectivity at ACME’s high-irradiation sites in Rajasthan, improving overall efficiency and utilization.
It also marks ACME Solar’s first project using Indian-made solar cells under ALMM List-II, in line with the government’s focus on boosting local manufacturing. The project strengthens ACME’s role in India’s clean energy expansion, integrating large-scale solar generation with advanced storage to meet the country’s growing peak power needs.
