Reliance Power has marked a major milestone in India’s renewable energy drive. Its wholly-owned subsidiary, Reliance NU Energies, received the Letter of Award (LOA) on November 10, 2025, emerging as the largest winner in the country’s first-of-its-kind 1,500 MW / 6,000 MWh Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE) ISTS tender issued by SJVN, a leading Navratna enterprise.
Under this landmark tender, Reliance NU Energies secured 750 MW / 3,000 MWh, representing the biggest single share of allocation. The FDRE project is designed to ensure round-the-clock renewable power, combining hybrid and storage-based energy systems to deliver firm and reliable clean energy to the grid.

The tender saw intense competition, with the online auction being oversubscribed 3.3 times and 14 bidders qualifying for the final reverse auction process. The strong participation highlights the growing focus on dispatchable renewable solutions in India’s power sector.
With this latest win, the Reliance Group has strengthened its position as India’s largest player in the Solar + Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) segment. The company now holds a cumulative portfolio exceeding 4 GWp of solar capacity and 6.5 GWh of BESS across four tenders under various stages of development and implementation.
Achieved within just 10 months, this accomplishment underscores Reliance Power’s swift execution capabilities and its firm commitment to advancing India’s energy transition and decarbonization goals through large-scale, sustainable power solutions.
