
L’Oréal has announced that it will establish the first beauty technology hub in Hyderabad in India, with an investment of Rs 3,500 crore (€350 million) by 2030.
The move will also back the global data, artificial intelligence (AI), and digital engineering projects of the firm, generating more than 2,000 jobs in technology. The hub in Hyderabad will be the core of the L'Oréal network of AI and techs, with other similar outlets in France, the U.S., China, and other strategic destinations.
L'Oréal CEO, Nicolas Hieronimus, said, “For over 31 years, L'Oréal has been deeply committed to India. Building on this legacy, we are harnessing India’s world-class tech and AI engineering expertise to power our new global Tech Hub.” He added, “Hyderabad will now sit at the heart of our AI and digital ambition.”

The statement comes after a visit to World Economic Forum 2026 by Hieronimus and Minister of Information Technology of Telangana, Duddilla Sridhar Babu.
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy celebrated the move, citing that it underscores the emerging ecosystem and talent base in the state. Minister Babu pointed out that the hub is in line with the vision of Rising 2047 of Telangana, which makes the state a place of global AI and digital innovation.
The new hub of L'Oréal is a major milestone in enhancing the technological relationship between India and France, which will lead to the expanding influence of India in the world of technologies and beauty products.
