Argus Partners, has assisted Syrma SGS Technology Ltd. Chennai, a company specializing in the production of electronic components, has signed a strategic joint venture worth Rs 1,800 crore with Shinhyup Electronics in South Korea.
The two businessmen will be able to benefit from technological expertise and marketing support from Shinhyup allowing the new plant to become the base of India’s ultra-modern electronics manufacturing ecosystem.
The newly formed joint venture, Syrma SGS Electronics Private Limited (SSEPL), has been given the green light by the Andhra Pradesh government with a 26.70-acre land allotment at Menakuru village close to Naidupeta. The total investment notified for the scheme amounts to ₹1,595 crore. Out of this, Rs 1,076 crore will be used to establish a modern manufacturing and R&D unit under the ECMS Policy of Andhra Pradesh (2025–30).
The project is eligible for "early-bird" incentives, along with a 75% land subsidy from the APIIC, which is contingent on the approval of the Union Ministry of Electronics and IT. After the JV becomes functional, the plan is to set up the first Indian integrated multi-layer Printed Circuit Board (PCB) and Copper Clad Laminate (CCL) manufacturing facility at Naidupeta.

The installation is scheduled for 2026–27 and is viewed as a turning point in the reduction of reliance on imports, the strengthening of local competence in the production of essential electronic components, and the promotion of indigenous innovation.
