Larsen & Toubro’s offshore business has secured an ultra-mega project from a major Middle Eastern client. The project involves developing multiple offshore facilities and carries a value above Rs 15,000 crore. L&T Energy Hydrocarbon Offshore will handle engineering, procurement, construction, installation and commissioning activities. A substantial portion of fabrication will be undertaken at L&T’s integrated manufacturing and fabrication facilities.
The government has approved 31 fresh proposals under the Electronics Components Manufacturing Scheme, involving Rs 7,877 crore. The projects span 10 states and are expected to generate production worth Rs 82,243 crore. They are also expected to create nearly 10,000 jobs across multiple electronics manufacturing segments. With these approvals, total sanctioned ECMS applications have reached 106 across 15 states.
