The ‘Make in India’ and ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ projects, which are aimed at making India self-sufficient, are still receiving support from India with Hettich being one of the major contributors who determines the change.
The company is one of the best in the world, as it manufactures hardware and furniture seamingly from India but it is not only its participation in the Indian industrial growth that it is contributing to but it is also constructing.
Hettich aims for efficiency, quality, and environmental consciousness in Indian manufacturing. Their sophisticated factory in Indore and the Vadodara workshop, where German-engineered automation is used, demonstrate the use of Indian manufacturing technology.
These plants are examples of India’s potential to retain the quality of products required by the domestic markets and also those procured from other countries.
Hettich has recently reached the pinnacle of its success by becoming the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) approved body for an entire collection of hinged products such as those of the slide-on, clip-on as well as the soft-close types.

Andre Eckholt, Managing Director, Hettich India, SAARC, Middle East & Africa, commented, “Our dedication to good manufacturing practice is confirmed to us through the receipt of the BIS certificate and with this, we are very much in line with the Prime Minister’s vision of ‘Viksit Bharat’. We are overkilling the world with the ‘Make in India, Make for the World’ concept, where we put capital into hi-tech plants, employ local people and adopt green manufacturing.”
Hettich’s resolution to implement green strategies, to digitize and to innovate round the clock, is a clear long-term idea that the company wants to maintain its lead in global manufacturing of India.
