
RailTel Corporation of India on Monday said it has received a Letter of Acceptance (LoA) worth Rs 454.94 crore from West Central Railway (WCR), marking a fresh boost to its order book.
Order value estimation in the LoA is estimated to be Rs 4,54,94,74,871 which strengthens the case of RailTel being one of the most important telecom partners of Indian Railways.
The project will be implemented a span of 960 days and therefore will be completed by 24 September 2028. RailTel claimed that all other terms and conditions will be strictly subjected as it is described in the LoA provided by West Central Railway.

The company also explained that the awarding company or group is not having an interest in the promoter or promoter group. It also stated that the order does not come under the category of related-party transaction eliminating any issues relating to conflict of interest.
RailTel Corporation of India, which was founded in 2000, was established in order to develop a national broadband and VPN system. The company is very crucial in offering telecom and multimedia services that will help in the modernization of train control operations in the Indian Railways and enhance the safety systems of the Indian Railways.
RailTel has recorded mixed performance on financial front in Q3 FY26. The net profit of the company on a standalone basis declined 4.07 percent in year-on-year to 62.40 crore as against 65.05 crore in the same quarter last year. Nonetheless, operational revenues increased 18.99 percent YoY to Rs 913.45 crore, which is a positive performance and performance and stable demand.
