India's construction equipment industry showcased its manufacturing muscle at bauma CONEXPO INDIA 2026 in Greater Noida. JCB India unveiled 10 new construction machines, reinforcing its focus on domestic engineering and construction equipment manufacturing. The ranges includes 3DX, 3DX Plus and 3DX Super backhoe loaders, alongside excavators, agricultural equipment, gensets and wheel loaders.
According to the company, all of the products were designed, engineered and manufactured at JCB India's factories. The launch underlines India’s growing role as a manufacturing and export hub for heavy equipment. JCB India exports to more than 135 countries, creating opportunities for local suppliers, precision engineering and advanced manufacturing.
The new machines also feature improved fuel- efficiency, along with digital monitoring capabilities, indicating how India’s production is moving towards higher-value industrial technology.

InfraServe Global introduced five new additions to its heavy machinery and engineering lineup the bauma CONEXPO 2026 event. The launch specifically targets India’s growing infrastructure and mining sector by expanding its equipment portfolio for road maintenance, asphalt application and concrete construction.
The products include Etynre RoadSaver slurry sealing machine, Black-Topper Centennial Asphalt Distributor, Etnyre Mastic Kettle, and 50 cubic meter and 70 cubic meter ISG concrete pumps.
The development is significant from an Indian manufacturing perspective since it combines local equipment production with specialized technology for infrastructure projects. Such technologies can support more efficient construction operations and encourage domestic development of equipment used in roads, bridges and urban infrastructure.
Schaeffler India showcased its motion technology portfolio for construction and off-highway equipment, under the theme 'Moving Next Generation of Construction Machines, covering low-friction bearings, sensors, mechatronics, electric motors, electromechanical linear actuators and powertrain components.
The company said its solutions are designed to improve equipment efficiency, reduce emissions and enhance reliability across construction and off-highway applications. For India’s automotive manufacturing and industrial ecosystem, the announcement highlights the importance of locally engineered components. Schaeffler operates five manufacturing plants in India, employing over 3,800 people.
Managing director and CEO Harsha Kadam said India is becoming an important market for construction and off-highway technologies. He credited rising infrastructure and industrialization investment.
Volvo Construction Equipment India commercially launched the EC650, a 65-tonne class mining excavator, at bauma CONEXPO INDIA 2026. The machine is powered by a Volvo D13E engine rated at 435 horsepower and is designed for heavy mining and mass excavation applications. It features a reinforced undercarriage, heavy-duty boom and arm, and advanced hydraulics.
The launch comes as India’s mining and infrastructure sectors require increasingly capable heavy equipment. From a manufacturing angle, the EC650 adds to the country’s exposure to large-scale excavation technology and supports demand for specialized components, hydraulic systems and equipment servicing.
Ascenso Tyres announced a $100 million investment to build domestic manufacturing capability for giant all steel radial off-the-road tyres, specialized machinery, product engineering and testing infrastructure at its Indian manufacturing facility in Gujarat.
Ascenso’s mining portfolio has expanded from 25-inch tyres to 49-inch giant tyres, with larger sizes under development. The company said the move addresses a segment historically dependent on overseas suppliers.
For Indian manufacturing, this represents an opportunity to build domestic capability in specialized mining equipment components, support mineral extraction and reduce reliance on imported large-format tyres. It also strengthens India’s potential as a supplier to global off-highway markets.
