The global Aerospace Supply Chain is undergoing a major shift as aircraft manufacturers look to reduce sourcing risks and expand production networks beyond traditional markets.
India is becoming an important part of the Aerospace Supply Chain because of its engineering expertise, manufacturing capabilities, and growing aviation sector.
Amid this changing landscape, Brazilian aircraft maker Embraer has signed a new agreement with Bharat Forge to supply forged raw materials for its aerospace operations. The partnership marks Embraer’s first forged raw material sourcing deal with an Indian company and strengthens its long-term manufacturing strategy in the country.
The agreement is expected to support Embraer’s global aerospace programs while giving India a stronger position in international aircraft manufacturing. Industry experts believe such collaborations could help Indian companies secure larger roles in global aerospace production and advanced engineering programs.

Roberto Chaves, Executive Vice President of Global Procurement and Supply Chain at Embraer, said the company viewed India as an important market for supply chain expansion.
For Bharat Forge, the deal adds to its growing aerospace and defense manufacturing business. The Pune-based company has been expanding its focus on precision engineering and aviation component production as worldwide demand for aircraft manufacturing continues to rise.
The latest Embraer partnership also reflects increasing confidence in India’s industrial capabilities under the government’s “Make in India” initiative. Aerospace companies are showing greater interest in building supplier networks in India instead of depending heavily on a limited number of global manufacturing regions.
Embraer said the collaboration aligns with its broader efforts to strengthen its supplier ecosystem in India and tap into the country’s manufacturing expertise. Bharat Forge will provide forged components and raw materials that will support Embraer’s aerospace operations worldwide.
The partnership comes as global aircraft manufacturers continue diversifying production and sourcing strategies to create more resilient and cost-effective supply chains.
