India aims not only at the domestic ecosystem but also leads the world in innovation when it comes to Artificial Intelligence (AI), according to Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer of Ericsson, Erik Ekudden.
During his speech at the AI Impact Summit in India, Ekudden noted that network development will be at the core of the Indian AI experience. Although AI is already streamlining 5G networks, in the future, agentic AI can emerge, and physical AI such as robots and humanoids are in the offing.
He emphasized that the potential of these developments is yet to be fully realized with strong AI-based connectivity. "The diffusion of AI in telecom is aiding in operations, dimensioning and running the networks in the most efficient way, with humans in the loop," he added.
