VE Commercial Vehicles (VECV), a joint venture of the Volvo Group and Eicher Motors, has signed an MoU with Jio-bp Pulse to strengthen EV charging across India. Announced today, the partnership will allow Eicher's EV clients the ability to access Jio-bp's public charging network of more than 6000 charging points, the largest DC fast charging footprint in India.
The collaboration will facilitate India's transition to sustainable commercial mobility by extending Jio-bp Pulse's charging namespace along with customised energy solutions with VECV's advanced knowledge and technology in electric truck technology.
A key element during implementation is Jio-bp's integration of its public charging ecosystem into the My Eicher fleet management application that will provide every fleet operator real-time visibility of the charger location and availability to prepare for journeys and support operational efficiencies that will address range anxiety.
