The Telangana government made a strong global pitch at the World Economic Forum 2026 in Davos, signing multiple memoranda of understanding and securing Telangana investments at Davos worth nearly INR 30,000 crore. The accords encompass steel, clean energy, advanced manufacturing, AI hardware, and startup ecosystems, which supports the effort by the state to bring in high-impact global capital.
One of the highlights was a groundbreaking MoU with Rashmi Group, which was one of the leading industrial conglomerates in India. The organization will spend 12500 crore to establish a steel manufacturing plant at Telangana.
Based on an official announcement, the project will create approximately 12,000 direct and indirect employment and increase the manufacturing base of the state. The collaborative arrangement is also geared towards green production, circular economy, energy-efficient steel production, waste heat retention and sustainable utilization of resources, which aligns the industrial development with net-zero objectives of Telangana.

The state signed an MoU with the California based company Blaize in the technology space, which focuses on energy-efficient AI hardware and full-stack software solutions. The deal focuses on expanding the current R&D facility of Blaize in Hyderabad to bring more level to the technological landscape in the city.
The other MoU was signed with the Dubai Multi Commodities Centre to consider cooperation in the development of startups, access to cross-market and ecosystem construction, developing new global opportunities to businesses.
Clean energy was also on cards. Slovakian-based NUkler Products placed an expression of interest to build a clean energy project based on the Small Modular Reactor, in Telangana, with a maximum power of up to 300 MW, and a cost of about ₹6,000 crore. In underscoring the trend, US based Sargad had allocated up to 1000 crore within the next three to five years towards advanced manufacturing and industrial ecosystems, and this added impetus to Telangana investments at Davos.
