Industrial Corridors are under a major government review to improve project delivery and attract more investments.
Industrial Corridors have become the focus of a fresh reform exercise led by NITI Aayog.
The government wants to remove long-standing hurdles affecting industrial parks and manufacturing ecosystems.
The move aims to speed up projects, improve investor confidence, and strengthen India's industrial competitiveness. The review also supports the country's goal of becoming a developed nation by 2047.
The government has launched a detailed review of the institutional and implementation framework governing industrial parks, integrated manufacturing ecosystems, and industrial infrastructure projects.
As part of this exercise, NITI Aayog will hold a stakeholder consultation this week. The consultation will gather suggestions on policy, regulatory, institutional, and implementation reforms.
The review is taking place under the guidance of the High-Level Committee on Implementation of Viksit Bharat Goals (HLC-VB). The committee is chaired by NITI Aayog member Rajiv Gauba.
The committee was formed to monitor key development programs and infrastructure projects. It also recommends measures to improve implementation and reduce delays.
The government wants to identify major bottlenecks slowing industrial projects. It also plans to introduce practical reforms that improve project execution across the country.

The government wants stakeholders to specify the type of action needed for every recommendation.
These may include:
Stakeholders have also been asked to point out delays in master planning, approvals, land allotment, contracting, and last-mile logistics connectivity. They will recommend ways to reduce implementation timelines and improve project efficiency.
The consultation aims to create a stronger framework for planning, developing, and operating industrial infrastructure across India. According to sources, the exercise is expected to improve project delivery and make India's industrial infrastructure more competitive.
The review also aims to strengthen investor experience by simplifying procedures and reducing implementation hurdles. The recommendations will help the government identify systemic reforms across industrial corridors, industrial parks, and manufacturing ecosystems.
Officials also want stakeholders to indicate whether suggested reforms require administrative decisions, policy changes, legal amendments, or digital solutions. The findings are expected to support faster industrial development while helping India move closer to its Viksit Bharat 2047 vision.
