Inox Wind has won an order of 102.3 MW by ABREL EPC Ltd., which is a subsidiary of Aditya Birla Renewable (ABReL), and this event is considered a notable step for the brand in the local renewable power market.
It is the initial order that Inox Wind received from Aditya Birla Renewables, heralding the new start of the relationship between the two business parties.
This is a tender to supply IWL 3.3 MW turbines for wind power projects under development by ABREL EPC in the state of Karnataka, India, which has one of the most established wind energy states and good resources and availability of grids.

The transaction is an indication of a more general industry trend towards larger capacity wind turbines, where developers seek to rationalise the economics of the project, lowering the costs per megawatt, and increasing the load factors of the plant. The state of Karnataka is still receiving such massive projects because of its developed policy environment and experience in the deployment of wind power.
Kailash Tarachandani, Group CEO, Renewables, INOXGFL Group, said, “New customer orders as well as repeat orders from existing customers highlight the confidence which our clients place on our technology, execution capabilities, and long-term service excellence. Inox Wind continues to be a partner of choice for large renewable energy developers in India.”

For Inox Wind, the order positions it better in the utility-scale wind segment and increases penetration among major corporate developers of renewable energy. In the case of Aditya Birla Renewables, it contributes to the current activities to develop scalable and reliable wind assets in the long-term clean energy objectives.
On the whole, the order highlights the growing activity of the wind energy industry in India, with developers, EPC players, and equipment manufacturers coming together to finance the growing renewable energy goals in the nation.
