Blue Dart has launched an international parcel service to help Indian e-commerce businesses and exporters reach overseas customers. The service, called International Parcel Connect, will initially support eligible shipments from India to the United States.
The new offering targets direct-to-consumer (D2C) brands, marketplace sellers, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and other businesses looking to expand beyond India. Powered by DHL eCommerce, it combines Blue Dart’s domestic delivery network and customer support with an established international parcel network.
The service offers Standard and Expedited delivery options. Businesses can choose between the two based on their delivery needs. Shipment tracking and support from Blue Dart in India are also included.
Balfour Manuel, Managing Director of Blue Dart, said customers had been asking the company to extend its services to international shipping. He added that the new offering combines Blue Dart’s domestic capabilities with international network access to support businesses seeking growth in overseas markets.
Dipanjan Banerjee, Chief Commercial Officer of Blue Dart, said India’s business-to-consumer (B2C) e-commerce exports were estimated at around US$2 billion. He noted that the market presents opportunities for Indian sellers looking to reach international customers.
According to Banerjee, International Parcel Connect aims to address the gap between premium-priced express delivery and lower-cost postal shipping. By offering two delivery speeds, the service gives businesses more flexibility when shipping orders overseas.
The international parcel service will handle eligible shipments weighing between 50 grams and 11 kilograms. Supported product categories include:
All shipments will remain subject to applicable customs rules, regulatory requirements, and restrictions on commodities, weight, and dimensions. Businesses will need to ensure that their products meet the service's eligibility criteria before shipping.

The initial launch focuses on shipments from India to the United States. However, Blue Dart plans to expand International Parcel Connect to additional international markets, including the United Kingdom, countries in the European Union, Canada, and Australia.
The planned expansion could give Indian online sellers access to a wider customer base as cross-border e-commerce develops. It also adds another shipping option for smaller businesses that want to serve overseas buyers without relying solely on premium express delivery.
The launch strengthens Blue Dart’s international shipping portfolio by adding a B2C parcel option to its existing express and integrated transportation services. The combination of Standard and Expedited delivery, shipment visibility, and domestic customer support is designed to meet the needs of businesses at different stages of growth.
For Indian exporters and online sellers, the new international parcel service offers another route to explore overseas markets. Its reach will depend on the rollout to additional destinations, shipment eligibility, and the delivery requirements of individual businesses.
