An important turning point in Tata Motors' global expansion strategy has been reached with the company's official introduction in the Dominican Republic. The company is launching automobiles made to satisfy the nation's changing transportation requirements in collaboration with Equimax, its authorized distributor.
The portfolio comprises the LPT 613 tipper for infrastructure and construction, the Ultra series (T.6, T.7, and T.9) for intelligent intra-city logistics, the Tata Super Ace for rapid last-mile delivery, and the Tata Xenon pickup for utility work. These models are designed for low total cost of ownership, performance, and durability. Speaking at the launch, Asif Shamim, Head – International Business, Tata Motors Commercial Vehicles, said, “The Dominican Republic presents a high-potential market aligned with Tata Motors Commercial Vehicles’ global growth ambitions. Backed by Equimax’s strong local presence, we aim to deliver unmatched value through reliable products, efficient service, and long-term customer support.”
Gabriel Tellerias, President, Equimax, added, “The introduction of Tata Motors globally trusted commercial vehicles marks an important milestone. Our priority will be to ensure a superior ownership experience through exceptional after-sales service, offering customers timely support and long-term value.”
Commercial vehicles from sub-1-ton minitrucks to 60-ton heavy-duty trucks and buses are sold by Tata Motors in more than 40 countries. On certain models, the company will provide extended warranties in the Dominican Republic of up to five years or 200,000 kilometers, and Equimax's service network guarantees prompt maintenance and simple access to authentic spare parts.
