Andhra Pradesh has attracted another major electronics investment as Syrma SGS, one of India’s top electronics manufacturers, announced plans to build the country’s largest multi-layer printed circuit board (PCB) manufacturing facility near Naidupeta in Tirupati district. The company will invest ₹1,595 crore in the project, creating 2,170 high-skill jobs for local youth.
Announcing the development on X, HRD Minister Nara Lokesh said the investment reflects global confidence in Andhra Pradesh’s business-friendly environment and skilled workforce.
“This is not just an investment; it’s a vote of confidence in our people. We are translating the ‘Speed of Doing Business’ into action by providing ready, tailor-made solutions for land, water, and power so industries can move fast,” he said.

Lokesh highlighted that Andhra Pradesh’s combination of skilled manpower, robust infrastructure, and proximity to ports makes it the first choice for advanced manufacturing in India. “We don’t just promise ease; we deliver speed,” he added.
Recalling Syrma SGS Managing Director J. S. Gujral’s remark, Lokesh said, “We needed speed, we chose Andhra Pradesh,” underscoring the State’s efficiency in enabling rapid industrial execution.
The new PCB facility is expected to reduce India’s electronics import bill—currently around $70 billion annually—and boost domestic manufacturing through stronger backward integration.
Looking ahead, Lokesh also noted preparations for the CII Partnership Summit 2025 in Visakhapatnam are in full swing, with the coastal city undergoing major upgrades to welcome global investors and showcase Andhra Pradesh’s growing industrial strength.
