Renault India announced its new strategically devised plan called “futuREady” which is focused on achieving the company’s goal of selling 2 million Renault Brand cars per year by 2030, with 1 million of these sales occurring outside of Europe.
India is one of three primary locations for Renault’s global business strategy and will serve as one of Renault’s three global manufacturing sites.
Renault plans to significantly increase its model offerings between now and 2028. The company will release 36 new models from 2023 through 2028 as opposed to the only eight models that were released from 2018 through 2022. Four of the new model vehicles will come from the production site in India and will offer 100% electric or full hybrid electrification.
The first model car is expected to be developed and manufactured in India under the project named “Bridger Concept Vehicle” and is predicted to be the first vehicle manufactured utilizing Renault’s global modular platform to be introduced in other countries following its introduction in India by the end of 2027.

Francois Provost, CEO of Renault Group, outlined the strategic framework for futuREady, which includes four pillars: growth-ready, tech-ready, excellence-ready, and trust-ready. “We plan to launch 36 new models between now and 2030 and substantially transform the customer experience during the lifetime of our vehicles. We will accelerate our technological road maps for all key technologies,” he said.
Renault’s futuREady plan focuses on strengthening its positions in key international markets like India, South Korea, and Latin America, with the aim to significantly increase sales outside Europe while pushing for 100% electrified sales in Europe and 50% outside Europe.
