
MIC Electronics has secured a railway electronics deal worth INR 1.53 crore from multiple zones of Indian Railways, strengthening its role in the country’s rail technology ecosystem.
The Hyderabad-based electronics company will supply Electronic Location Units (ELUs) used in passenger information and communication systems across the railway network.
The railway electronics orders were awarded through competitive tenders from several railway divisions and production units. The contracts collectively cover the supply of around 5,400 ELU units, which are essential for enabling communication between train coaches, stations, and central control systems.
These electronic units help power passenger information displays and improve coordination within railway operations. By supporting real-time communication systems, the technology plays a role in enhancing efficiency and information flow for both passengers and railway staff.

The company will deliver the units in phases, with execution scheduled between March 2026 and April 2027. The orders come from multiple railway zones, including Southern Railway, Central Railway, Western Railway, Northern Railway, South Central Railway, North Eastern Railway, and East Coast Railway, along with orders from railway production units such as the Integral Coach Factory.
With these new contracts, MIC Electronics continues to expand its presence in the railway infrastructure segment. The company has been actively participating in tenders related to passenger information systems, LED displays, and communication equipment used across stations and trains.
Winning orders from several railway zones in a single round of tenders highlights the company’s growing reach within the railway electronics supply chain. As Indian Railways continues to modernize communication and passenger information systems, suppliers like MIC Electronics are expected to see steady opportunities in the sector.
