Mercedes-Benz India is set to enhance its luxury car portfolio by introducing more models with extensive customization options in 2025, catering to the growing demand for personalized vehicles among affluent buyers. The announcement aligns with the company’s strategy to strengthen its position in the Indian luxury car market, which has seen robust growth in recent years.
Through its MANUFAKTUR program, Mercedes-Benz is letting customers choose special paint colors, premium interior materials, and one-of-a-kind design details. The program’s a hit globally, with folks on X raving about models like the Mercedes-AMG CLE and S-Class for their eye-catching designs and powerful performance.
Last year, Mercedes-Benz India sold 18,928 cars, a 4% jump from the year before, with popular SUVs like the GLA, GLC, and GLS leading the way. The company also celebrated a big milestone, building its 200,000th car at its Chakan factory, showing how serious it is about making cars locally.
“Indian customers are increasingly seeking vehicles that reflect their personality,” said Santosh Iyer, MD & CEO of Mercedes-Benz India. “Our focus on customization allows us to meet these expectations while maintaining our core strengths in luxury and innovation.”
Mercedes-Benz has big plans for 2025, including launching high-performance models like the AMG GT 63 and GT 63 Pro on June 27, plus electric SUVs like the EQS 450 and G 580, showing its commitment to greener driving. But there’s a catch: price hikes are coming in June and September 2025 because of currency changes, which could make these cars a bit pricier.
