The Defense Industrial Corridor was launched to strengthen India's domestic defense manufacturing capabilities and encourage private sector participation. Faster land allotments are expected to help companies complete their projects on time and increase production capacity.
With more companies setting up manufacturing units and fresh investments flowing into the sector, the corridor is playing an important role in supporting the Make in India initiative and India's broader push for defense self-reliance.
