ABB announced on Monday it will invest about USD 75 million in India in 2026 to expand manufacturing and research and development (R&D) capabilities, strengthening its local manufacturing strategy and supporting fast-growing sectors such as energy, rail, and data centers.
The ABB investment in India will support growth across its Electrification, Motion, and Automation businesses. The company said the expansion will help meet rising demand driven by energy transition, grid modernization, data centers, and metro and high-speed rail projects. The move follows more than USD 35 million invested in 2025 and brings ABB’s total investments in India over the past decade to more than USD 230 million.

In Nashik, USD 22 million will expand circuit breaker production and localize advanced switchgear technologies. Meanwhile, USD 6 million in Vadodara will boost generator and induction motor manufacturing while adding a new service and training center.
