Escorts Kubota today rolled out its new BS V–compliant construction equipment range at Excon 2025, underscoring the company’s push toward high-productivity machines built for India’s fast-expanding infrastructure landscape.
The refreshed lineup is designed to lower operating costs while meeting the rising demand across urban projects, industrial zones, and mining sites.
A key highlight was the commercial launch of the Kubota U22-6 Mini Excavator. This 2.2-ton model fills the gap between the company’s 1.7-ton and 3-ton offerings. It brings precise digging, zero-tail swing, ROPS/FOPS protection, and an improved hydraulic system to tight urban spaces. Its digital interface and easy controls make it a compact yet capable option for basement work, city projects, and other confined areas where maneuverability is critical.

In the mining segment, Escorts Kubota showcased the Hydra 15 Mining, a prototype built for rough quarry environments. With a reinforced bumper, lift-jack guard, and an air-conditioned cabin, the machine is engineered for long hours and high-impact operations while keeping maintenance predictable.
The company also presented the BLX75K Backhoe Loader as a prototype for wider regional markets. Powered by a next-generation 74.3 hp Kubota CEV-V engine, it promises stronger fuel efficiency, multiple work modes, and easier servicing, reflecting deeper integration of Japanese engineering into the lineup.
At the concept stage, the Hydra 72 stood out with a new 72-foot boom aimed at higher-height lifting jobs. It features a rope-compensated boom, heavy-duty winch, integrated safety systems, and an upgraded cabin, supporting continuous use in demanding lifting conditions. The broader BS V-ready portfolio, including the mass-market BLX 75 and new Kubota-engine variants, rounded out the showcase.
