Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) has received fresh defence contracts worth ₹732 crore, adding momentum to its growing order book for the year. The new projects include the supply of Software-Defined Radios (SDRs), tank subsystems, communication systems, missile components, and cybersecurity solutions — all critical for strengthening India’s defence readiness.
The SDRs, developed in collaboration with the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), are completely indigenous. They are designed to provide secure, real-time communication across various defence platforms and can integrate smoothly with existing systems. This upgrade will improve field coordination and enhance operational capability during complex missions.

These orders come at a time when BEL is on track to expand its business pipeline. The company expects additional orders worth around ₹27,000 crore in the current financial year. If achieved, this could lift its total order inflows beyond ₹50,000 crore for FY26, reflecting steady demand from the Indian armed forces and allied defence sectors.
In a separate deal, BEL recently secured a ₹633 crore contract from Cochin Shipyard Limited to supply key components for sensors, weapon systems, and fire control equipment. The project aligns with the country’s focus on upgrading naval capabilities through indigenous solutions.
With consistent government backing for domestic production and reduced dependence on imports, Bharat Electronics Limited continues to reinforce its leadership in India’s defence manufacturing ecosystem. The ₹732 crore orders further strengthen BEL’s position as a trusted supplier of advanced, locally developed defence technologies.
