Odisha Approves Rs 4,574 Crore Projects Across 11 Districts in a major boost to the state's industrial growth.
The new Odisha investment plan includes 23 projects worth Rs 4,574 crore. These projects will be spread across 11 districts.
They are expected to create thousands of jobs. The approvals cover sectors like IT sector, textile sector, pharmaceutical sector, chemicals, steel, food processing, and renewable energy.
The latest approvals came from the State Level Single Window Clearance Authority. The meeting was chaired by Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja. The projects aim to strengthen Odisha's position as a preferred investment destination.
Among the biggest announcements, HCLTech received approval to expand its IT campus in Bhubaneswar. The company plans to invest around Rs 1,500 crore. The expansion is expected to create nearly 5,000 jobs over the coming years.
Renewable energy company ACME also secured approval for a major green hydrogen and green ammonia project. The investment supports Odisha's plans to become a key clean energy hub.
Several other companies also received approvals across different industries. These include chemicals, apparel manufacturing, food processing, and engineering products. The projects will improve industrial activity across multiple regions instead of remaining limited to a few cities.
