The government has approved Navi Mumbai International Airport as a notified port for the import of drugs. This decision comes as part of boosting trade efficiency and enhancing ease of doing business.  

With this addition, the total number of notified ports for the import of drugs has now reached 42. This offers importers greater flexibility and improved access points across the country.

The amendment is expected to strengthen logistics infrastructure and provide greater flexibility to importers by adding a new alternative for import of medicines into the country.
