Luminous Boosts Odisha Presence with Solar & Storage Plans

Luminous Power Technologies is expanding its footprint in Odisha with new investments in solar energy, energy storage, and renewable energy India, strengthening its role in India’s clean energy transition.

The company recently highlighted its plans at an industry event in Khordha, where it presented its growing portfolio of energy solutions and underlined its long-term commitment to the state. As part of its expansion strategy, Luminous is setting up two key projects. The first is an advanced battery storage systems and manufacturing facility in Angul. This plant will focus on next-generation technologies, which are essential for storing solar energy and ensuring a stable power supply even when sunlight is unavailable.

The second project is a solar cell manufacturing unit in Gopalpur. This facility is expected to strengthen India’s domestic solar manufacturing ecosystem, reduce reliance on imports, and support the country’s renewable energy goals. Both projects are progressing steadily and are likely to be operational in the near future.
