ZEN Technologies Ltd about receiving two significant contract orders from the Ministry of Defence, Government of India worth Rs 289 crore in total the stock price of the company was up by 4.24% to Rs 1,414.
The contracts primarily entail the upgradation of anti-drone systems (ADS), and the completion period for these contracts is within one year. On the occasion of the good news, Ashok Atluri, the Chairman and Managing Director of ZEN Technologies, said that innovation from within is becoming increasingly crucial to national security.
"Speed of evolution of our defense systems is what will secure the Nation - this has been clearly demonstrated by incidents like Operation Sindoor," he said. He also said that reliance on foreign systems makes it difficult for India to adjust because "the evolution of these systems is led by the people who provide us with the technology, not us."
As drone and cyber threats are rapidly evolving, Atluri referred to the drone/cyber issue landscape as a reason why the use of Indian-designed, developed, and manufactured solutions should no longer be seen as a mere option but as an obligation.
