Infrastructure giant Larsen & Toubro (L&T) announced on Friday that it has formed a strategic agreement with US-based Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) to produce unmanned aircraft systems for the Indian Army.
As part of this collaboration, the two companies will jointly manufacture Medium Altitude Long Endurance (MALE) Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS) within India.
This strategic agreement will leverage L&T's engineering, precision manufacturing, and system integration strengths in the defence and aerospace sectors, along with GA-ASI's operational expertise.

"Under this partnership, L&T will participate in the upcoming 87 MALE RPAS programme of the Ministry of Defence, where L&T will be the prime bidder and GA-ASI the technology partner," the infrastructure major said in a filing to the BSE.
