Simple Energy Gen 2 electric scooters mark a major reset for the Bengaluru-based EV maker as it rolled out its Generation 2 portfolio on Monday, replacing the earlier Gen 1.5 lineup.
The company launched four variants across price and range bands, signaling its most comprehensive product overhaul since inception and a sharper push toward performance-led differentiation in India’s electric scooter market.
The headline model, Simple Ultra, is positioned as India’s longest-range electric scooter with an IDC-certified range of 400 km. It packs a 6.5 kWh battery—the largest ever on an Indian scooter—along with a top speed of 115 kmph and 0–40 kmph acceleration in 2.77 seconds, making it the country’s second-fastest electric scooter. Prices for the refreshed lineup start at ₹1.49 lakh and go up to ₹1.77 lakh (ex-showroom, Bengaluru), with a limited-period introductory price beginning at ₹1.39 lakh.

Alongside Ultra, the company introduced two Simple One Gen 2 variants: a 4.5 kWh version with a 236 km range priced from ₹1.69 lakh, and a 5 kWh model offering 265 km at ₹1.77 lakh. The entry-level Simple OneS Gen 2 delivers a 190 km range at ₹1.49 lakh.
“This is not just a cosmetic refresh,” said Suhas Rajkumar, founder and chief executive officer of Simple Energy. “We have re-engineered the battery integration, made the scooter lighter, improved performance and expanded the portfolio so customers can choose based on real usage needs,” he added.
The Simple Energy Gen 2 electric scooters come with an eight-year motor warranty and three-year vehicle and charger coverage. With pre-stocked dealerships, deliveries begin immediately across 61-plus showrooms and online platforms including Amazon and Flipkart.
