
Wipro, an IT services firm, has finalized its $375-million purchase of HARMAN's Digital Transformation Solutions (DTS) division after receiving regulatory approvals.
The acquisition of DTS was revealed on August 21, 2025, and following the successful completion of the transaction, it will start functioning as a segment of Wipro's global engineering business line, the Bengaluru-based IT firm stated in its announcement. "The purchase of DTS represents a key achievement in Wipro's dedication to enhancing AI abilities, fostering engineering creativity, and excelling in R&D," the announcement noted.

It is important to highlight that on August 21, Wipro announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to obtain a complete 100 percent ownership in the Digital Transformation Solutions (DTS) business unit of HARMAN, a subsidiary of Samsung, for a cash amount reaching up to $375 million (approximately Rs 3,270 crore).
According to the agreement, over 5,600 DTS employees, including top management, from the Americas, Europe, and Asia, would transition to Wipro, the company stated then.
DTS offers Wipro product engineering and digital transformation services expertise, integrated with skills in embodied AI, embedded software, device engineering, and customer experience platforms.
"The AI offerings from Harman will be effortlessly combined with Wipro Intelligence -- our AI-driven collection of platforms, solutions, and transformational services." The acquisition will allow Wipro to provide uniquely differentiated and interlinked next-generation experiences while strengthening its position as a worldwide leader in engineering services," the announcement stated.
