Tata Power’s Jojobera division is making a critical step forward in rural STEM learning and green energy education. This rural learning initiative has now reached over 4,000 students in 20 local schools surrounding Jamshedpur.
Through its flagship Club Enerji initiative, the company is equipping young minds with real-world science, sustainability, and robotics education—directly from the heart of a working power plant.
Tata Power Jojobera is not just generating electricity, but opportunities as well. It has remarkably grown from a single school to being able to provide dedicated STEM labs, trained teachers, and even real-world energy experimentation for children living in underprivileged tier 2 and tier 3 communities.

The children have started on their journeys of discovering green energy through hands-on projects, robotics training, and now genuine insight into the industrial world operating at the working power station.
An important highlight has to be the regular student visits to Jojobera itself. These visits reinforce what was taught in the classroom distinct from the real work of the plant itself - a vital step for our rural learners. This initiative has already produced multiple successful outcomes for students up to this point, including competitors competing against thousands across India at the India Science Congress.
The Tata Power Jojobera team is reshaping the regards with new advanced bootcamps in robotics, green tech and campaigns to create energy awareness among community volunteers called Enerji Mittras. This bold commitment represents a new frontier for corporate-led educational determinations and is timely as the industry increasingly recognizes the potential for early engagement in science and technology as a strategic investment in India’s energy future.
