Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd has established a new record this festive season by delivering more than 1 lakh vehicles within 30 days, from Navratri to Diwali. The company recorded a growth of 33% over the previous festive season, marking one of its strongest performances to date.
"Over the recent 30 day period from Navratri to Diwali, we have achieved a landmark milestone by delivering more than 1 lakh vehicles, reflecting a strong 33 per cent growth over the previous year festive season," Shailesh Chandra, Managing Director and CEO, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd, said in a statement.

The momentum was attributed to Tata's hugely popular SUVs. Nexon was the highest selling model with over 38,000 vehicles sold - a 73% increase on the previous year. Punch was a significant performer with close to 32,000 vehicles sold, reflecting an increase of 29% compared to the previous year, reinforcing Tata's leadership in the compact SUV segment.
Electric vehicles also contributed importantly to this growth. During the festive window, Tata Motors sold more than 10,000 EVs, representing a growth of 37% and people continue to demonstrate interest in sustainable transportation, especially EVs.
Chandra noted that the broadened portfolio of car and SUV offerings further drove growth and established a strong platform for the balance of the current fiscal year. Tata Motors plans to sustain momentum with multiple launches coming up while banking on lasting consumer interest and a strong product mix.
