Noida International Airport (NIA) is joining forces with Uber to roll out app-based taxi services when it kicks off operations in April 2025. This move is all about making travel to and from the airport easy, safe, and stress-free, helping NIA shine as a top-notch transport hub.
With this deal, Uber will set up special pick-up spots at the airport, complete with staff and clear signs to guide you from the terminal to your ride. They’re also reserving parking spaces for Uber drivers to keep wait times short, so you can jump in and get going. The service will be available round-the-clock, with real-time tracking and quick cashless payments right through the Uber app. “Bringing in Uber’s taxi service is a huge win for giving travelers a smooth way to get around,” said Christoph Schnellmann, NIA’s CEO.
This is just one piece of NIA’s plan to offer all kinds of transport options, like buses and shuttles, to fit what travelers need. Located in Jewar, Uttar Pradesh, the airport is working with local authorities to make it easier for private cars and public transport to get in and out. Uber’s Arnab Kumar, Director of Business Development for India and South Asia, shared, “Our collaboration reflects our commitment to smooth last-mile connectivity, backed by an effortless booking experience via the Uber app.”
