Mahindra Tractors, India’s No.1 tractor brand has entered into an agreement with the Government of Maharashtra to establish a Skill Development Centre in Gadchiroli. This agreement was signed in Mumbai, between Mahindra Tractors, Department of Vocational Education & Training (DVET) and Maharashtra State Skill Development Society (MSSDS) in the presence of Honourable Devendra Fadnavis, Chief Minister of Maharashtra.
This Skill Development Centre is a collaborative effort between Mahindra Tractors, DVET, and MSSDS, aimed at promoting skill development among rural youth in Gadchiroli. It focuses on equipping them with industry-ready skills while also boosting local livelihoods. The initiative aligns well with the Honourable Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Devendra Fadnavis’ on skill development as a national priority to harness India’s unique demographic dividend.
