In electrical systems, the smallest component can protect the most expensive asset. For an Indian farmer, this relationship can have consequences far beyond equipment failure. A motor and pump are the lifeline that carries water to the field, yet these high-value assets are often connected to inexpensive, sub-standard starter panels. When voltage fluctuates unexpectedly, inadequate protection can damage the pump, disrupting irrigation at a time when every day matters.

R & R Electric saw this gap not merely as a product opportunity, but as an awareness problem. The company addressed it by bringing its first product to market a starter panel engineered to serve as the first line of defence for the motor and pump.
“For an Indian farmer, a motor and pump are not mere machinery they are the heartbeat of the land, carrying the water that turns sweat into harvest. Yet, a farmer may invest their life savings in a high-quality pump and connect it to a sub-standard starter panel to save a few thousand rupees. When unpredictable voltage strikes, the pump can burn out.
It is not merely equipment failure; it can mean a parched crop, unexpected repair debt and an entire season put at risk. This is not about money; it is about awareness,” says Rohit Yogi, Co-Founder, R & R Electric.
Founded in December 2024 by Rohit Yogi and Romit Agarwal, electrical engineering graduates and college friends from Madhav Institute of Technology, Science, Gwalior, R & R Electric began with submersible pump starters. Within eight months, the company had sold more than 2,000 units, giving the founders a strong indication that the market was looking for more than low-cost electrical products.
From a Starter to a Larger Electrical Proposition
The company’s early success prompted a deliberate expansion into higher-range motor products and, by early 2026, electrical control panels. Today, its portfolio includes single-phase and three-phase motor starters, customised starter solutions, electrical panels, LT distribution panels and EV charging infrastructure.
Yet, R & R Electric is not approaching these categories as a conventional product manufacturer.
Its proposition is rooted in understanding what lies behind the specification. Before designing a product, the engineering team studies the customer’s machine, power requirements, supply conditions, installation environment and operational needs. Drawings are then developed for customer alignment before manufacturing begins.
Off-the-shelf hardware rarely solves complex operational bottlenecks. As the Co-Founder, Rohit, puts it: “A control panel is not just a product. We first understand the problem, engineer the product, and then take it into manufacturing.” When the client approached us facing repeated motor trip issues and space constraints, standard specs weren't enough. Here is how custom engineering solved what off-the-shelf panels couldn't.
This application-led approach also allows the company to customize every panel according to the environment in which it will operate, whether that involves moisture, outdoor installation, open-ground conditions or varying electrical loads.
Where Engineering Meets Quality
For R & R Electric, engineering does not end when the design is completed. It continues through component selection, testing and final production. The company works with verified vendors in Gujarat and southern India, sourcing components based on their technical suitability and then customizing them according to application requirements.
Romit Agarwal, Co-Founder, R & R Electric, emphasizes that quality is established through multiple checkpoints rather than a final inspection alone. Incoming materials are tested for parameters including current capacity and relay operating ranges, while finished products undergo testing before they leave the facility.
“All of our outsourced materials and raw materials first pass through a complete testing procedure. After the end product is also tested, only then do we mark it as tested and supply it to the market,” says Romit.
This discipline has helped R & R Electric move beyond its initial customer base and work with established names including Adani Power, JMS, Schneider Electric and Amara Raja. Its engagement with Adani Power is particularly significant, with the company’s product undergoing testing and approval for use in a thermal power station, including a supercritical thermal power station application.
Building a Technology Brand, Not Just a Panel Business
The founders’ ambition extends beyond manufacturing electrical panels. Their intent is to build a technology-driven brand that remains relevant as electrical systems evolve.
“We are not the panel guys; we are the technology guys. We focus on technologically updated solutions rather than just being stuck with panel operations,” says Romit.
That outlook is also reflected in the founders’ professional development. Rohit Yogi is a part of the Stanford Seed Spark program and has completed an Entrepreneurship Development Program with Schneider Electric, while Romit Agarwal is an alumnus of NIT Surat. Their complementary roles Rohit driving sales, marketing and Precurement and Romit overseeing technical operations and finance give the young company a balance between market understanding and engineering execution. For an Indian farmer, a motor and pump are not mere machinery - they are the heartbeat of the land, carrying the water that turns sweat into harvest
Charging Ahead
As industrial operations scale, R & R Electric is expanding beyond individual products to deliver a cohesive electrical ecosystem with greater project accountability. Its growing portfolio encompasses industrial automation through PLC, SCADA and drive-based control architectures, alongside industrial-grade cable management solutions engineered for durability, thermal performance and easier maintenance. The company is also strengthening its medium-voltage and turnkey capabilities, covering HT/MV switchgear, transformer integration, site cabling, testing and commissioning from the substation to the shopfloor.
The next chapter is taking shape in EV infrastructure, with R & R Electric having obtained the necessary certification and preparing to launch charging stations and related accessories. From initially addressing protection challenges around agricultural motors and pumps to serving industrial facilities and emerging EV applications, the company continues to follow the same engineering philosophy: understand the application, identify critical electrical challenges and develop solutions where reliability, protection and technology matter most.
