The strategic alliance formed between the Indian steel giant Tata Steel and the Australian-based InQuik Group is a significant step toward pushing forward the infrastructure development industry in India. By signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), the two companies aim to bring the innovative modular bridge-building systems of the InQuik into the Indian market with the support of the strong manufacturing capabilities of Tata Steel.
This joint venture is a part of a bigger idea Tata Steel aims at becoming a full-service construction company. The deal with InQuik will allow Tata Steel to align with the increasing moment in India to undertake transport infrastructure through fast, secure and more scalable transport frameworks, particularly in remote and underserved areas.
T V Narendran, CEO and MD of Tata Steel, commented on the development, stating, “The partnership with InQuik reflects Tata Steel’s efforts to modernize construction practices and contribute meaningfully to India’s infrastructure journey.”
InQuik Group CEO Logan Mullaney added, “This collaboration is a major step in expanding the company’s global presence. Our rapid and durable bridge technology has strong potential to improve connectivity across India.”
The partnership complements India’s broader infrastructure mission by enabling quicker and cost-efficient alternatives to conventional bridge construction. It also strengthens Tata Steel’s evolving strategy to deliver intelligent, sustainable building solutions.
Globally employing over 78,000 people, Tata Steel is recognized for its ESG leadership and digital innovation. It has achieved multiple Responsible Steel certifications and has been consistently ranked in the DJSI Emerging Markets Index. As India pushes forward with infrastructure expansion, this Tata-InQuik alliance is set to play a critical role in bridging technology and progress.
