
Suzlon Group has secured a 100 MW wind energy project from GAIL India in Maharashtra, marking another step forward in India’s clean energy transition.
The project will be set up in Nandurbar district and will support GAIL’s upcoming petrochemical plant by helping reduce its carbon footprint reduction efforts. This is the sixth consecutive order that Suzlon has received from GAIL, highlighting a strong and growing partnership between the two companies.
Under the agreement, Suzlon will supply, install, and commission 47 wind turbine generators, each with a capacity of 2.1 MW. The company will also take care of the project’s operations and maintenance after installation, ensuring smooth long-term performance.
This order adds to Suzlon’s growing list of PSU renewable projects in the current financial year, reflecting increased government and industry focus on renewable energy India adoption.
