India’s Rana Group is making waves with a massive $10 billion investment to build a cutting-edge smart manufacturing hub in Ras Al Khaimah. The Erisha Smart Manufacturing Hub, which broke ground on September 17, 2025, in the Al Ghail Industrial Area, is set to be a game-changer for the UAE’s economy. Spanning 335 acres, this ambitious project is one of the largest industrial investments in the region.
The hub will be home to 150 high-tech industries, focusing on exciting fields like electric and hydrogen vehicles, eVTOL flying taxis, semiconductors, and renewable energy. It’s expected to generate $5 billion to $6 billion in annual revenue and create 4,000 jobs, giving a big boost to local employment. By producing goods locally, the hub will help reduce the UAE’s dependence on imports and strengthen its manufacturing sector, which supports the country’s $483 billion economy.

Covering 25 million square feet, the hub isn’t just about factories—it’s a full-fledged community. It will include homes, schools, hospitals, shopping centers, banks, and warehouses, creating a vibrant, self-sustaining space. The project also aligns with the UAE’s goal of reaching net-zero emissions, emphasizing green technology. Dr. Darshan Rana, Chairman of Erisha E Mobility, said, “This hub will lead the charge in the green energy revolution, paving the way for a sustainable future.”

Rana Group will run more than half of the hub’s industries, with some factories expected to start production within a year. The entire project is slated for completion in five years, with partners like Capital Engineering Design, GHV Infra, N3XUS, and AINS Group ensuring top-notch quality. A recent $1 billion investment from a UAE-based investor into Erisha E Mobility further fuels the group’s global push for sustainable energy.
This project highlights the growing bond between the UAE and India, with stronger trade ties and increasing investments. As the UAE becomes India’s fourth-largest investor, the Erisha Smart Manufacturing Hub positions Ras Al Khaimah as a global hub for innovation and industry.
