ASM Technologies Limited, renowned for design-led manufacturing in the semiconductor and automotive areas, has in a move signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Guidance, Government of Tamil Nadu, to invest ₹250 crore in expanding electronic system design and manufacturing (ESDM) and precision engineering capabilities.
As per the MoU, ASM will become the owner of a 5-acre land to set up a modern design facility in Tamil Nadu, the new tech-manufacturing hub. This is a targeted investment that will extend the company's long-term plans in sectors with high-value applications such as electronics, semiconductors, and renewable energy.
On the occasion, Ratindra Srikantan, Managing Director, ASM Technologies Limited, said, "Our growth track just got brighter with this MoU. It will add value to our design-led manufacturing capabilities as well as keep us on our toes to innovate, be globally competitive and provide customer-centric solutions. Thanks to the Government of Tamil Nadu for their support.”
