On Tuesday, Chinese smart device manufacturer OnePlus announced that it had teamed up with Bhagwati Products, an electronic manufacturing services provider, to produce and distribute high-end tablets domestically in India. The OnePlus Pad 3 and OnePlus Pad Lite are two of OnePlus's most popular tablet models. According to a statement from the mobile device company, the OnePlus Pad 3 and OnePlus Pad Lite are both being produced in India as part of the brand's strategic alliance with Bhagwati Products Ltd.
"This strategic partnership aligns with OnePlus' long-term vision for India and its recent Project Starlight initiative aimed at deepening local integration. As part of these efforts, OnePlus is ramping up its local manufacturing operations. "In addition to producing smartphones in India, the company has now started manufacturing its tablet products at BPL's flagship facility based in Greater Noida," the statement said.

Bhagwati Products Ltd., OnePlus's primary manufacturing partner, will offer the committed assistance needed to produce and localize the OnePlus tablet form factor for the Indian market. According to Robin Liu, CEO of OnePlus India, the partnership with BPL represents a significant turning point in the company's Indian expansion of its manufacturing capabilities and network. "By localizing tablet production, we are not only reinforcing our commitment to India, but also creating meaningful value for our user community. This partnership reflects our long-term vision to innovate for India, invest in India, and grow with India," Liu said.
