Chairman of the Aditya Birla Group, Kumar Mangalam Birla, has been appointed as a member of the Board of Directors and Executive Committee of the US-India Strategic Partnership Forum (USISPF). Birla's appointment comes at a significant moment, as Indo-US business ties deepen across sectors of strategic engagement.
“The US-India partnership is among the most consequential partnerships in the world, and I have long believed that when our two nations come together with purpose and clarity, they can shape the arc of global commerce and innovation for the better,” said Kumar Mangalam Birla, Chairman of the Aditya Birla Group, in a statement.
This milestone appointment reflects the increasing global reach of Aditya Birla Group, which has emerged the largest Indian greenfield investor in the US, deploying over USD 15 billion across 15 States. The recently announced USD 4.1 billion Novelis aluminium rolling and recycling plant in Bay Minette, Alabama, is a major achievement. It is the first fully integrated aluminium rolling and recycling facility in the U.S. in four decades, and it is Alabama's largest single industrial investment.
“We are very proud to be the largest Indian investor in the United States and are committed to expanding our investments in the country,” Birla added.

This leadership role positions Birla to shape critical dialogues on supply chain integration, manufacturing partnerships, and bilateral trade, reinforcing the strategic depth of the US–India economic relationship.
