OMRON, a global leader in industrial automation, has opened its new Automation Center in Bengaluru, signifying a significant investment in establishing its presence in India and expediting the transition to smart manufacturing in the country.
The Automation Center will be joined by OMRON’s global network of 44 Automation Centers and Proof-of-Concept (PoC) lab that serve and support manufacturers in South India and as a wider geographical space.
The new center will be a hands-on collaboration space for manufacturers, machine builders, and system integrators to discover and implement automation solutions for their business, validate solutions, and experience training opportunities.

Motohiro Yamanishi, President of OMRON’s Industrial Automation division, said, “India’s manufacturing sector is entering a crucial phase of growth. This new center reflects our strong belief in the region’s potential. It’s not just a place to showcase products — it’s a space to co-develop solutions that meet real-world challenges. Our goal is to work closely with local partners to strengthen their global competitiveness.”
The center be instrumental in helping small and larger businesses leverage and implement automation solutions that are purpose built for India to remain competitive on a broader global level which aligns with ‘Make in India’ and Industry 4.0 ideals.
The announcement of the Automation Center follows the deepening partnership in technology between India and Japan, which recently announce investment ofup to ¥10 trillion in Japan and the coming decades in the semiconductor and broader digital infrastructure spaces across sectors. OMRON's Automation Center demonstrates OMORN’s intentions to co-develop solutions that will increase efficiency and competitiveness in Indian manufacturing.
