A five-year contract to manufacture essential parts for LEAP engines, which are made by Safran Aircraft Engines in collaboration with GE Aerospace under their joint venture, CFM International, has been given to Godrej Enterprises Group (GEG) through its aerospace division. Narrow-body aircraft of the next generation are frequently powered by LEAP engines.
GEG will manufacture sophisticated ventilation assemblies for LEAP engines using titanium as part of the agreement. Precision machining, sophisticated welding, and non-destructive testing will all be used in the production process to guarantee adherence to the strict international civil aviation requirements. India's place in the global aircraft manufacturing ecosystem is strengthened by this program.
